How Match actually finds your matches

Match does not publish much about its algorithm, but it does name a few different ways it searches on your behalf, and they do not all do the same thing.

Mutual Match looks at the interests, values, and keywords in your own profile and finds people who line up with them, then refines as you give it feedback. Reverse Match flips the logic. Instead of showing you who you would want, it shows you people whose stated preferences your profile actually fits. And Go Search is the plain filter-based search, the one most people default to and never leave.
